Host unsubscription

Notes

• You must release all instances on the host before unsubscribing from it. Otherwise, the unsubscription will fail.

• Only the actual amount paid is refunded. Used vouchers are non-refundable.

• If you purchased the product in a promotion:

  • If the refund rules conflict with the promotion rules, the promotion rules prevail.

  • If the promotion terms state that unsubscription is not supported, you cannot unsubscribe.

  • If a refund is issued, any promotional gifts, such as vouchers or extended service periods, are forfeited.

Refund rules

• 5-Day Unconditional Unsubscribe:

  Each account can unsubscribe from only one ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster host per calendar year (from January 1 to December 31).

  For a 5-Day Unconditional Unsubscribe, the full host fee is refunded. No usage fees are charged.

• Partial Refund:

  Refund amount = Actual amount paid - Usage cost

  Note

  • Actual amount paid: The amount paid in cash for the order. This excludes the value of any used vouchers.

  • Usage cost: (Daily subscription price) × (Number of days used).

  • The usage duration is calculated in days. Partial days are counted as full days.

  Example: Suppose you purchased a one-month subscription for a host at a monthly fee of CNY 8,002. After 10 days, you decide to unsubscribe. The usage cost is calculated as (CNY 8,002 / 30) × 10 = CNY 2,667. The refund amount is CNY 8,002 - CNY 2,667 = CNY 5,335.

Procedure

1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster console and release all instances on the host. For more information, see Release Instance.

2. Go to the Unsubscribe Management page.

3. Select a product type, choose ApsaraDB for MyBase Dedicated Cluster Host (Subscription) from the Product Name drop-down list, enter the instance ID, and then click Search.

   Note

   You can enter up to 50 instance IDs for the same product, separated by commas or spaces.

4. Select 5-Day Unconditional Unsubscribe or Partial Refund.

5. In the Actions column of the target host, click Unsubscribe Resource.

6. Select a Reason for Unsubscription, select the check box to agree to the service agreement, and then click Immediately Unsubscribe.

   Important

   Carefully review the resource details, unsubscription terms, and refund amount. After you unsubscribe, the host is locked and unavailable.

   • If you unsubscribe from the host by mistake, you can renew it within six days after it is locked to continue using it. For more information, see Renew a host.

   • If you do not renew the host within six days after it is locked, the host and all instances on it are released on the seventh day. Released hosts and instances cannot be recovered.

   • While the host is locked but not yet released, if it contains instances that use an ESSD cloud disk, storage fees for these instances continue to apply.

7. In the Prompt dialog box, click OK.

   A dialog box states that after the refund request is submitted, the services, resources, and data of the related instances are immediately released and cannot be recovered. Make sure that you have completed data migration or backup.

   Note

   You can track the unsubscription process in My Orders. The refund is issued to the original payment method, such as an Alipay account, online banking channel, or Alibaba Cloud account.
