Updated at:

Google released Android 17 Beta 4 in April 2026. mPaaS has completed adaptation and testing to ensure full compatibility and stability with this version.

Upgrade the SDK

To upgrade your mPaaS SDK version, follow the instructions in Integrate/Upgrade a baseline.

  • If your current baseline is 10.2.3, upgrade to version 10.2.3.78 or later. For details, refer to the 10.2.3 release notes.

  • If your current baseline is 10.1.68 or earlier, you must first upgrade to baseline 10.2.3 and then update to version 10.2.3.78 or later. For specific instructions, see the mPaaS 10.2.3 upgrade guide.

Regression testing

  • During full regression testing, your test devices must include an Android 17 device.

  • If your project uses any of the following components, carefully test them for performance and compatibility during regression testing.

    hotpatch

    • Verify that the InstantRun hotpatch functions correctly.

    • Verify that the DexPatch hotpatch functions correctly.

Handle custom libraries

If your project uses custom libraries, handle them as follows:

  • If you are upgrading from an older SDK version (10.1.68 or earlier) to 10.2.3, you may need to re-customize your custom libraries.

For assistance, contact mPaaS support in our DingTalk group (ID: 145930007362).

  • If you are already using mPaaS 10.2.3, you only need to update specific components.

Check the List of libraries updated for Android 17 below to see if your custom library is affected:

    • If it is not on the list, no changes are needed.

    • If it is on the list, we recommend re-customizing the library.
