This document describes how to renew your Website Builder (Classic Mode) subscription to avoid service disruptions.

Important

Your website becomes inaccessible after the subscription expires.

After your subscription expires, your data is retained for 7 days. If you do not renew within this grace period, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Renewal rules

  • For renewal costs, see pricing.

  • You can renew your subscription for one or more years.

  • You must renew within 7 days of the expiration date. If you do not renew the service within this grace period, it is automatically shut down and cannot be recovered.

  • After renewal, your existing website data, permissions, maintenance features, and operation logic are fully retained. Only the logon path is unified to the official Alibaba Cloud platform.

  • If you renew a new product after your original product expires, for example, when you migrate from Speedy Website Builder to AI Website Builder, the validity period of the new product is extended from the original expiration date, instead of being recalculated from the purchase date.

Note

To prevent service disruptions, we send renewal reminders by SMS and email one month before your service expires. Monitor your notifications to renew on time.

Renewal methods

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Domains & Websites console, select Application List from the left navigation bar, find the order that you want to renew, and click the Renew button.

  2. Select a duration, and then click Buy Now. On the renewal page, verify the current configuration. In the Duration section, select a renewal duration, such as 1 Year. Select the Auto-renewal checkbox if needed, and then click Buy Now.

  3. Once you confirm that the order information is correct, click Payment to complete the payment.

Pay by bank transfer

If your company cannot use the preceding online payment methods, AI Website Builder (Classic Mode) also supports renewal by bank transfer. This method is intended for enterprise payment scenarios in which you must pay from a corporate bank account.

  1. Log on to your Alibaba Cloud account and go to the Bank Transfer page to obtain the dedicated account information that is assigned to your Alibaba Cloud account, including the account name, account number, and bank branch.

  2. Transfer funds from your corporate bank account to the dedicated account. The transfer amount must be greater than or equal to the amount of the service that you want to renew.

  3. Wait for the transfer to be credited. This usually takes about 20 minutes.

  4. After the funds are credited, return to the renewal page, start the renewal process again, and select Balance as the payment method to pay with your account balance and complete the renewal.

Note

The dedicated account information is bound to your current Alibaba Cloud account. Do not transfer funds to any other account, and make sure that the corporate bank account that you use matches the account holder registered with Alibaba Cloud. Otherwise, the transfer may fail to be credited.

FAQ

Why do I still receive expiration or renewal reminders after renewing?

  • Use the expiration date shown in the AI Website Builder console as the actual expiration date of your service.

  • If the AI Website Builder console shows that your service is renewed and still within its validity period, you can ignore the SMS messages, emails, and renewal or expiration reminders that are displayed in earlier console versions.

  • Due to product migrations, for example, migration from Speedy Website Builder or Yunmeng Website Builder to AI Website Builder, the My Services page in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace and Yunmeng Website Builder is no longer updated with the latest service status. The expiration information shown on these pages does not reflect the actual status of your service.

If the expiration date shown in the AI Website Builder console does not match your renewal order, contact after-sales support for assistance.
