  4. Assign a designer: A designer is matched to your requirements and website materials and is responsible for the overall website design.

  5. Design the front-end pages: The designer completes the front-end page design based on your requirements and materials. Your confirmation is required after the design is complete.

Note

Make sure that you own the copyright to the website materials that you provide, or that the materials are copyright-free, to avoid legal risks caused by copyright issues after the website goes live.

  • Provide references: When you provide a reference website, also explain the specific aspects to reference, such as the overall style, page layout, or functional design.

After submission

After you submit the requirements, the process moves to the Assign a project manager step. The platform assigns a dedicated project manager to coordinate requirements and follow up on the project. You can view the progress of each step in Process Logs in the Delivery Center.

2. Assign a project manager

The platform assigns a dedicated project manager to coordinate requirements and follow up on the project. The project manager contacts you to confirm the requirement details and start the subsequent steps.

3. Review the website materials

The project manager reviews the completeness and compliance of the materials that you submit. If the materials are incomplete or do not meet the requirements, the project manager contacts you to supplement or revise them. After the materials pass the review, the process moves to the Assign a designer step.

4. Assign a designer

A designer is matched to your requirements and website materials and is responsible for the overall website design. The designer discusses the design direction with you and starts the front-end page design after your style preferences are confirmed.

5. Design the front-end pages

After the designer completes the front-end page design, the system sends notifications by SMS and email. You can log on to the Delivery Center at any time to view the current progress in Process Logs and view the design on the Preview tab. The time limit for this step is defined in the delivery plan that you agree on with your dedicated engineer.

Mobile design confirmation

When an action is required from you, the system automatically sends an email or SMS reminder. Log on to your Alibaba Cloud account by using the mobile Delivery Center URL, and you can then confirm the front-end pages.

Suggestions for revision comments

When you provide revision comments, follow these suggestions:

  • Specify the location: State the page and the specific location to which the revision comment applies, such as a section or an image.

  • Be specific: Describe the expected result as specifically as possible, such as adjusting the color scheme, replacing an image, or revising the copy.

  • Provide references: If you have a preferred style, provide reference websites or images to help the dedicated engineer understand your preferences.

Handling overdue confirmations

If you do not confirm or reject a step within the agreed period, the system automatically confirms it and the process moves to the next step. The specific period is defined in the delivery plan that you agree on with your dedicated engineer.

6. Set up the functional workflows

The designer sets up the website functional workflows to create a complete, usable website. The functional workflows include the navigation structure, page transition logic, and interactive features. After the setup is complete, the process moves to the Test and accept the whole website step.

7. Test and accept the whole website

After the website is built, whole-website testing and acceptance are performed. The acceptance covers page display, functional workflows, and responsive adaptation. After the website passes acceptance, it goes live and is delivered, and you receive information such as the official website URL, the website console URL, and the logon account.

Track delivery progress in the Delivery Center

The project details page displays the business information of your project, such as the product name, product specifications, order number, and expiration time, as well as information about your account manager. To request services such as renewal, upgrade, or redesign, contact your account manager.

The project details page provides the following four tabs:

  • Preview: Preview the design online.

  • File Management: View project-related files. You and the designer can both upload files, such as domain name and ICP filing materials.

  • Project Messages: Communicate online with your dedicated engineer about project matters.

  • Process Logs: View the progress and completion time of each delivery step (Submit requirements, Assign a project manager, Review the website materials, Assign a designer, Design the front-end pages, Set up the functional workflows, and Test and accept the whole website).

FAQ

  • How long does design delivery take?

The overall duration depends on both the production time and the time that you take to confirm each step or provide feedback. After each design and production step is complete, you need to confirm the result or provide revision comments. The dedicated engineer revises the design until you confirm it, and only then does the process move to the next step. The duration of each step and the overall delivery time are defined in the delivery plan that you agree on with your dedicated engineer.

  • What do I need to do during delivery?

You only need to share your ideas and complete the required actions: fill in the requirement form to submit your requirements, and confirm the design results or provide revision comments in the confirmation steps. Your dedicated engineer and AI complete all other work, including planning, design, building, and publishing.

  • Can I change my requirements during delivery?

Yes. After the result of each step is complete, the system notifies you by SMS and email. You can preview the result online and confirm it or reply with revision comments. The dedicated engineer continues to revise the design based on your comments until you confirm it. Discuss the handling of major requirement changes with your dedicated engineer.

  • How do I confirm that my requirements were submitted?

After submission, in Process Logs in the Delivery Center, you can view the completion time of the Submit requirements step. The system also sends email or SMS reminders when an action is required from you.

  • What if I find incorrect information after submission?

If you need to change any information that you submitted, contact your dedicated engineer.

  • What is the difference between the website description and production notes?

The website description explains the core business and website positioning to help the dedicated engineer understand your business background. Production notes provide additional specific production requirements, such as the required functional sections and preferred design styles.

  • Can I submit requirements on a mobile phone and track progress on a computer?

Yes. You can submit requirements from a mobile phone and then view the delivery progress in the Web Delivery Center. Your dedicated engineer guides you on how the two channels work together for your project.
