When you open the Media Placement module, the Marketing Scheduling page appears by default. This page lets you view marketing contract and marketing placement schedules, providing an overview of your media placements.
Marketing contract schedule
As shown in the preceding figure, the page has three main areas: filter conditions, key metrics, and the schedule.
1. Filter conditions:
Date range: The default is the current month. You can set a custom range. The date range cannot exceed 180 days.
Promotion channel: Currently, only ads on the Internet are supported.
View by: To view the marketing contract schedule, select Marketing Contract.
Status: The default is All. You can select Scheduling, Approved and pending execution, Failed, Executing, or Execution finished.
Scheduling: The contract has been submitted, but the processing status has not been updated. If the contract includes multiple media and ad slots, and one or more are approved, the contract is no longer in the Scheduling state.
Approved and pending execution: The contract is approved but has not reached its earliest start time.
Failed: All media and ad slots under the contract failed to be scheduled.
Executing: One or more media and ad slots under the contract are currently executing.
Execution finished: The contract has reached its end time.
Contract selection: The default is All. Click the drop-down list to see all ad contracts for the selected promotion channel. You can select multiple contracts.
Auto-adjust time range: This option automatically sets the date range filter to the earliest start date and latest end date of the selected ad contracts. If you clear this check box, the date range returns to its initial state.
2. Key metrics:
Total contract amount
Scheduled volume: The scheduled ad volume, in thousands of impressions.
Executed impressions: The number of times the ad has been displayed.
Executed media fee: The media fees that have been incurred.
Media placement spend
3. Schedule: The schedule is divided horizontally into three sections: Marketing Contract, Data Statistics, and Date Table.
Marketing Contract: This section has a three-level hierarchy: contract, media, and ad slot. You can expand and collapse the items. You can edit contracts that have a Failed status. Click the edit icon to open the marketing contract editing page. Click the report icon to open the Marketing Report page. The specified ad contract and date range are selected by default.
Data Statistics: This section displays metrics such as budget spending for the selected level (contract, media, or ad slot) within the specified date range. The metrics are the same as the key metrics. You can customize the columns in this area. Click the settings button to control which metrics are displayed.
Schedule: The table header shows the date range. The first row displays the year and month, the second row displays the date, and the third row displays the day of the week. Each row in the list displays the scheduling information for the corresponding contract, media, or ad slot. Each cell shows a status icon based on the item and date. You can use the drop-down list above the table to control the statistical metrics displayed in the cells. Cells have two main states: not executed and executed. For the not executed state, you can set the displayed metrics to "Scheduled volume" and "Scheduled amount". For the executed state, you can set the displayed metrics to "Execution ratio", "Execution spend", and "Executed impressions". Hover the mouse over a cell to view detailed data for that day. A pop-up layer appears, as shown in the following figure.
The pop-up layer shows the status and statistical data for the day. If the status for that day is Failed, the reason for the failure is displayed.
