An ad campaign is a collection of ads that share the same marketing subject and budget. An ad campaign is equivalent to an ad order group.

To manage your ad campaigns, navigate to Media Placement > your workspace > Marketing Promotion > Marketing Management > Ad Campaigns. The Ad Campaigns page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

In the upper-right corner, click Create Marketing Placement to open the Marketing Placement page.

1. Filter conditions

  • Date range: The default statistical period is This month. You can set a custom date range for ad campaign data. The date range cannot exceed 180 days, and you cannot select future dates.

  • Promotion channel: Currently, only Internet ads are supported.

  • Placement type: Currently, only fixed-price placements are supported.

  • Campaign status: The default is All. You can select Enabled or Disabled.

  • Search box: Search for campaigns by name.

2. Ad campaign list

The list displays the configuration information for each campaign, such as the campaign name, frequency capping requirements, retargeting control, and status. You can click a campaign name to view the orders under the campaign. The list also displays the following performance statistics:

  • Total spend

  • Media placement spend

  • Media resource spend

  • Impressions

  • CPM

  • Clicks

  • Click-through rate (CTR)

  • CPC

The following operations are supported:

  • Click a campaign name to view the ad orders under that campaign.

  • Enable/Disable: Use the switch in the Status column to enable or disable an ad campaign.

  • Click 35 to edit the ad campaign.

3. Quick actions:

You can select one or more ad campaigns from the list to perform the following batch operations:

  • Enable/Disable: Enable or disable the selected campaigns.

  • Modify frequency capping requirements: In the dialog box that appears, you can modify the frequency capping requirements for the selected campaigns, as shown in the following figure.2

    • Unlimited: No frequency capping requirements are set for the campaigns and their ad orders.

    • By campaign: Sets the frequency requirement at the campaign level. All ad orders under the campaign use this requirement. You must then specify the frequency and period.

    • By order: Sets the frequency requirement for each ad order individually. You must then set the frequency requirements for all orders under the selected campaigns.

  • Modify retargeting control: In the dialog box that appears, you can modify the retargeting control for the selected campaigns, as shown in the following figure.3

    • Disabled: Retargeting is disabled for the campaigns and their ad orders.

    • By campaign: Sets the retargeting scope at the campaign level. All ad orders under the campaign use this scope. You must then specify the retargeting scope.

    • By order: Sets the retargeting scope for each ad order individually. You must then set the retargeting scope for all orders under the selected campaigns.

  • View orders: Opens the Ad Orders list, which is automatically filtered to show the ad orders under the selected campaigns.

  • View data reports: Opens the Data Reports page, which is automatically filtered to show the data reports for the selected campaigns.
