Configure Alibaba Mail IMAP, POP3, and SMTP server addresses and ports in Outlook, Foxmail, Mac Mail, or mobile email apps to send and receive emails.
Prerequisites
Before configuring a third-party email client, verify the following account settings:

Third-party client access is disabled by default. Ensure the administrator has granted access in Set third-party client logon permissions.

The administrator has enabled POP3 or IMAP service permissions for your account.

You have set a third-party client security password to use as the client logon password.
Server Addresses and Port Information
Protocol selection:

IMAP (Recommended): Syncs emails between clients and the web interface. Best for multi-device use.

POP3: Downloads emails to the local device only. Best for local archiving.
Always use SSL-encrypted ports for data security.

"Username or password error" appears during configuration, but I confirmed the password is correct.

Cause: The account uses a third-party client security password. The regular mailbox logon password does not work.

Solution: Generate a third-party client security password and use it as the client password.

Cannot connect to the server after checking SSL?

Cause: SSL is enabled but the port is still set to a non-encrypted value (110 or 143).

Solution: Change the port to the SSL-encrypted port: 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP3.
