Purchase and usage notes

• With the pay-as-you-go billing method, the service is available immediately after activation. Billing starts when you begin using the service.

• Your account is charged daily at 00:00 for the previous day's usage.

Billing for application instance monitoring

Application instances include pods and classic application processes. Instances are billed hourly. For example, monitoring one instance for a full day is calculated as 1 instance × 24 hours. The following table describes the billing rules for application instance monitoring.

Billing example

For example, if you monitor an average of 100 pods per day in the China (Hangzhou) region, the monthly cost is calculated as follows:

• Pay-as-you-go cost for public cloud (CNY) = 100 × 24 × 30 × 0.04 (CNY/Agent*Hour) = 2,880

• Pay-as-you-go cost for Alibaba Finance Cloud (CNY) = 100 × 24 × 30 × 0.08 (CNY/Agent*Hour) = 5,760

Billing for log monitoring data

The following table describes the billing rules for log monitoring data.

Billing example

For example, if you monitor an average of 100 pods per day in the China (Hangzhou) region and ingest an estimated 100 GB of logs daily, the monthly cost is calculated as follows:

• Pay-as-you-go cost for public cloud (CNY) = (50 × 3 + 50 × 2.7) × 30 (CNY/GB) = 8,550

• Pay-as-you-go cost for Alibaba Finance Cloud (CNY) = (50 × 6 + 50 × 5.4) × 30 (CNY/GB) = 17,110

Billing for distributed trace requests

The following table describes the billing rules for distributed trace requests.

Billing example

For example, if you monitor an average of 100 pods per day in the China (Hangzhou) region and generate an estimated 10 million requests daily, the monthly cost is calculated as follows:

• For pay-as-you-go billing, the fee for a non-Gold region is calculated as follows: 10 × 0.5 × 30 CNY/GB = 150 CNY.

• For the pay-as-you-go billing method, the fee for the Gold region is 300 CNY, calculated as 10 * 1 * 30 (CNY/GB).

Billing for alert text messages

The first 10 alert text messages per day are free. If you exceed this limit, fees are charged based on the following billing logic:

• Public cloud: Text messages are sent through Alibaba Cloud channels and are charged at CNY 0.1 per message. RMS does not charge additional fees.

• Gold Zone: RMS charges additional fees for text messages.
