Scenario
When you purchase an Alibaba Mail mailbox and enter your domain name, you may receive the following error message: "The domain name you entered is already attached. You can enter another random domain name to complete the purchase. After the purchase, go to the console to parse, authenticate, and change to this domain name." This error occurs because the domain name you want to use is already registered on an Alibaba Mail server.
Solution
1. Follow the prompt to enter another random domain name and complete the purchase.
2. Go to the console and navigate to Change Domain Name. Enter the domain name that you want to attach. Follow the prompts to add the required Domain Name System (DNS) records for validation. After the validation is successful, the mailbox instance that currently uses the domain name is detached, and the domain name is attached to your new mailbox.
