Recover Deleted Emails

Administrators can recover permanently deleted emails from the mailbox recycle bin, including emails removed by Outlook or Foxmail client rules.

Recovery workflow:

Permanently deleted emails and emails removed by client rules (Outlook, Foxmail) are moved to the recycle bin. Administrators can search the recycle bin and restore these emails.

Filter by time range

  • Relative time: Select a preset time frame from the drop-down list: Within 1 day, Within 7 days, Within 30 days, Within 90 days, or Within 180 days.

  • Absolute time: Set a custom start and end time, then click Query.

Supported edition: Paid

Procedure

1. Log in to the Alibaba Mail admin console and go to Mailbox Tools > Recycle Bin.

2. Enter the employee's email address, click Search, then click View Recycle Bin.

3. Select the emails to recover and click Recover.

4. A dialog box shows the recovery status. After recovery, notify the employee to verify the restored emails.

Notes

1. The account list shows each employee's name, employee ID, email address, department, and account status.

2. You can filter by relative time (preset time frames) or absolute time (custom date range).

3. To recover multiple emails at once, select them and click Recover All in the action bar.
