Request or release a public IP address

Updated at:

ApsaraDB for MyBase instances include an internal endpoint by default, which supports connections over an internal network. To connect to an instance over the Internet, apply for a public endpoint. This topic describes how to apply for or release a public endpoint for a MySQL instance.

Apply for a public endpoint

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances > MySQL.

  4. Find the instance and click Details in the Actions column. The ApsaraDB RDS console opens. In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Connection.

  5. On the Database Connection page, click Apply for Public Endpoint.

  6. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

After the request is processed, the public endpoint appears on the Database Connection page.
