Perspective analysis allows you to analyze users by tags, including user attributes and custom tags, to obtain the value distribution of tags among users, such as age and purchase preferences.

The following tags support perspective analysis:
-
Text tags of non-ID fields.
-
Numeric tags of non-ID fields with no more than 50 tag values.
-
Multi-value tags, whose values are split and deduplicated before analysis. The analysis works the same way as for text tags.
Procedure
-
Choose Workspace> User Insight > User Analysis > Perspective Analysis. The perspective Analysis page appears.
-
By default, All is selected for Tag Source. You can also select User Attribute, Custom Tag Type, or Tag Table.
Select the tags that you want to analyze. You can select a tag from the Search for Tags drop-down list or search for a tag. You can also select a tag category and select a tag from the tag list.
Note-
When you move the pointer over a tag in the tag list, the data source and popularity of the tag are displayed.
-
The number next to the tag category name indicates the number of tags in the category.

-
-
After you select the tags to analyze, the corresponding analysis charts are displayed.
-
The system automatically selects a chart type based on the number of tag values:
Number of tags (N)
Chart type
<=5
Pie
6 < N <= 10
Colored bar chart
>10
Scalable bar chart
For text and multi-value tags, if the number of values is greater than 15, the top 15 tag values with the largest proportion are displayed by default. You can select a maximum of 50 tag values from the Tag Value Selection section in the following figure.
-
Click the buttons in the upper-right corner of the chart to perform the following operations (listed from left to right and top to bottom):

-
Tag Value Selection: For text or multi-value tags, select up to 50 tag values to display. Unselected tag values are still counted in the total when proportions are calculated.

-
Chart Switching: Switch between column chart, pie chart, and rectangular hierarchy chart.
-
Sort: Default, Descending, Ascending.
-
Statistics Method: Choose whether to exclude null values. When null values are excluded, they are hidden from the chart and omitted from the total when proportions are calculated.
NoteNull values include both unassigned and null values.
-
View Data: View the data for the current analysis. Unselected tag values and excluded null values are omitted.
-
Export: Export the data for the current analysis. Unselected tag values and excluded null values are omitted.
-
Zoom In: Enlarge the chart.
-
Close: Close the chart.
-
-
Hover over a segment in the chart to view the number of users. Pie charts and rectangular hierarchy charts also display the corresponding proportion.

-
Filter audience: Click a segment in the chart, and then click the New Audience option that appears. In the dialog box, the selected tag value is used as a filter condition to create an audience. Enter the name and description, select the save directory, and select the associated child campaign. For more information, see Marketing Campaign Documentation. Then, click OK.

You can also create a new audience by computing the sum or difference with an existing audience.

-
And: Filters users from the existing audience who also meet the selected tag value criteria to form the new audience.
-
Or: Adds users who meet the selected tag value criteria to the existing audience to form the new audience.
-
Poor: Removes users who meet the selected tag value criteria from the existing audience to form the new audience.
