Main campaigns and sub-campaigns
Marketing campaign management involves two object types:

To launch a series of campaigns for a specific theme, create a main campaign for the theme and individual sub-campaigns for each campaign in the series:

Main campaign: A collection of related sub-campaigns under a single theme. Because main campaigns are not executed, they are not associated with audiences or marketing tasks.

Sub-campaign: An individual campaign that is attached to a main campaign. Because sub-campaigns are executed, they can be associated with audiences and marketing tasks.

To launch only a single, independent campaign, create it as a standalone sub-campaign:

Standalone sub-campaign: An independent campaign that is not part of a series and is not attached to a main campaign. Because it is executed, it can be associated with audiences and marketing tasks.

Workflow

Create a marketing campaign and configure its details. For more information, see Create Marketing Campaign.

(Optional) Grant other users permission to access a sub-campaign. The available permission types are Manage and Use. For more information, see Manage Marketing Campaigns.

Create or edit audiences and marketing tasks, then associate them with a sub-campaign. For more information, see the Audience Management document, the User Marketing document, and the Automated Marketing document.

In Quick BI Professional Edition, create reports based on campaign data and embed them on the marketing campaign page for visual performance analysis. These reports support automatic filtering to display data for the current campaign. For more information, see Embed Quick BI reports.
