ApsaraDB for MyBase performs backend maintenance on instances at irregular intervals. The default maintenance window runs from 02:00:00 to 06:00:00 (UTC+8). Schedule the maintenance window during off-peak hours to reduce the risk of disrupting production workloads.
Before you begin
Before configuring a maintenance window, review how maintenance affects your instances:
| Behavior | Details |
|---|---|
| Advance notifications | ApsaraDB for MyBase sends text messages and emails to contacts configured in your Alibaba Cloud account before any scheduled maintenance begins. |
| Instance state | When maintenance starts, the instance enters the Maintaining Instance state. Database access and query operations, including performance monitoring, remain available. Upgrade, downgrade, and restart operations are temporarily unavailable. Account management, database management, and IP address whitelist configuration are not affected. |
| Service interruptions | Expect one or two brief service interruptions during the maintenance window. Make sure your application supports automatic reconnection to the database. |
| Time zone | The console displays maintenance windows in the local time zone of the computer you use to log in. |
