Enable release protection for your ApsaraDB for MyBase instance to prevent manual release. This helps avoid irreversible consequences caused by accidental operations or delayed communication among team members. This topic describes how to enable or disable instance release protection.
Important notes
Instance release protection does not prevent automatic release actions triggered for valid reasons, including but not limited to:

The instance is automatically released because your account has an overdue payment for more than 15 days.

The instance is stopped or released due to compliance risk.
Protection effect
If you try to manually release an instance with release protection enabled in the console, an error message appears and the release fails.
Enable or disable instance release protection

Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

In the upper-left corner of the page, select the destination region.

In the navigation pane on the left, click .

Select the target instance and click Details in the Actions column.

Click Settings next to Release Protection in the Configuration Information section.

In the Modify Instance Release Protection dialog box, turn Instance Release Protection on or off.

Click OK.
After enabling or disabling instance release protection, you can view the Release Protection status in the Configuration Information section. After the setting takes effect, the Release Protection status in the instance’s Configuration Information section shows as Enabled.
