Use DMS to log on to a database in an ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance
Data Management (DMS) provides a browser-based interface for managing databases without installing a local client. This topic describes how to launch DMS from the ApsaraDB for MyBase console and log on to a database in your ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance.
To log on to the database from the DMS console instead, first register your instance in DMS. For more information, see Register an ApsaraDB instance.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that you have:
An Alibaba Cloud account or a RAM user with the required permissions to log on to DMS. To request permissions, see Manage permissions.
A database account with the required permissions on the target database. To create one, see Create a database account.
Background information
DMS offers an integrated solution that supports data management, schema management, server management, user authorization, security audit, trend analysis, data tracking, business intelligence (BI) charting, and performance analysis and optimization.
Log on to a database
Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.
In the upper-left corner, select a region.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
Find the instance and click Details in the Actions column. On the details page, click Log On to Database in the upper-right corner.
In the Log on to Database Instance dialog box, enter your database account username and password, then click Login.
NoteIf the database does not appear in the left-side navigation pane after login, the account may lack the required permissions. To grant permissions, see Manage a database account.
After login, refresh the page. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances Connected, then double-click the database name to switch to it.
