The Sending Email component sends emails through the Alibaba Cloud email platform, typically for promotional messages and notifications to users outside the China mainland.

Note
  • Regardless of whether the workflow starts from the behavioral event component or the target audience component, users who enter the Sending Email component are matched by their QAID against the email addresses from all data sources.

  • The Alibaba Cloud email API is configured by the organization administrator. For more information, see Configure Alibaba Cloud Email API.

  • To ensure automated marketing runs smoothly, emails must use an approved template. The sender, subject, and content defined in the template are used directly and cannot be modified. For more information about how to create an email template, see Create Email Templates.

  • For more information about how to limit the sending frequency and time window for emails to the same user, see Fatigue Control.

To configure a universal filter, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Sending Email component and configure it in the panel that appears on the right, as shown in the following figure.

    Step Name

    Enter a step name.

    Email Platform

    Only the Alibaba Cloud email platform is supported.

    Sender Address

    Select a sender address from the drop-down list. You must first configure the sender address in the Alibaba Cloud Email Push Console.

    Address Type

    Select the display type of the sender address:

    • Random Address: displays a system-generated random string combined with the sender address. This is recommended because it helps analyze bounce status.

    • Sender Address: displays only the sender address.

    Email Template

    Select an approved template from the drop-down list. The sender, subject, and content in the template are used for the email. A preview is displayed on the right.

    Sender

    Uses the sender specified in the template.

    Email Title

    Uses the subject specified in the template.

    Email Unsubscription

    When enabled, an unsubscribe button is added to outgoing emails. After a user unsubscribes, the system records the action and automatically excludes that user from future email sends.

  2. To test the delivery, click Test delivery. In the dialog box that appears, enter the email address of the test recipient and click OK.

    The system sends a test email. Check it carefully before proceeding. 213

  3. Click OK.
