Push messages

This topic explains how to push messages from the console.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the EMAS Management Console and select the Mobile Push product.

  2. On the Mobile Push product page, in the left navigation pane, choose Create Task > Push Message to open the Push Message page.

  3. Enter a Message Title and Message Content. You can also configure the following advanced settings:

    Send Target

    Specifies the target for the push notification. Options include the following:

    • All devices: Push to all devices that have ever registered with the app.

    • Specific devices: Push based on device IDs.

    • Specific accounts: Push based on accounts attached to device IDs.

    • Device alias (Alias): Push based on aliases attached to device IDs.

    • Device tag (Tag): Push based on tags attached to device IDs.

    Note

    • If the send target is specific devices, specific accounts, or device aliases, you can upload a file of device IDs, accounts, or aliases.

    • The file must be a .txt file. The file size cannot exceed 30 MB. The file must use UTF-8 encoding. Each line must contain one record.

    Send Time

    Specifies the time to send the push notification. Options include the following:

    • Send now

    • Send at a scheduled time: The scheduled time cannot be more than 7 days in the future.

    Offline Retention

    The message retention period for offline devices. Devices that come online after this period expires will not receive the push notification. The maximum retention period is 72 hours.

  4. After completing the configuration, click Confirm Send.
