Hotpatch
A hotpatch is a patch applied to a production system while the system is running. This process is also called hotpatching.
Sophix
Sophix is the alias for Alibaba Cloud's hotpatching product. The name is a combination of "Sophic" (wise) and "FIX", suggesting a smarter hotpatching solution.
Cold start
A cold start occurs when you launch an application that does not have an existing process running in the background. The system creates a new process for the application.
Cold start fix
The patch takes effect only after you restart the application.
Baseline package
A baseline package is the original, unmodified version of a newly published application. It does not contain any hotpatches.
