Capacity diagnosis

You can use capacity diagnosis to view real-time resource usage and trends for your clusters, tenants, databases, tables, and indexes. This helps you quickly detect potential capacity risks. You can then scale out or perform other operations to maintain system stability.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the OceanBase Management Console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Autonomy Service > Diagnosis Center.

  3. In the Instance Details area, click the name of the target instance.

    You are automatically redirected to the Diagnostic Center.

  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Capacity Diagnosis.

  5. On the Capacity Center page, you can view capacity risk alerts for the cluster.image

  6. You can view the usage of CPU, memory, storage, and log disks.

    Note

    Log disk information is displayed only for OceanBase 4.x versions.

    • Click View Capacity Prediction. In the panel that appears on the right, you can view the current Disk Usage and the Estimated Remaining Days of Use.

    • Click View Usage Trend. In the panel that appears on the right, you can view the disk usage for the last 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, or a custom time range.

  7. You can view the capacity usage details for tenants over the last 7 days, including the usage of CPU, memory, storage, and connections for each tenant. Metrics that indicate risks are marked in red. If the Recycle Bin Space Ratio exceeds 30%, you can click Go to Recycle Bin to navigate to the tenant's Recycle Bin page and manage its space.image

  8. You can view the capacity information of tenants.

    1. When you view data for a specific tenant, you can filter by database and table.2

      A trend chart shows the capacity usage of CPU, memory, disk, and partition replicas over time. You can view trends for the last 7, 14, or 30 days, or a custom time range, to better understand the status of the tenant, database, or table.

    2. The right side of the page shows the top 10 databases by disk usage. You can expand a database to view the disk usage of its data and indexes.

      Click Details or a database name to view the data distribution details of the tables in that database. You can view the following information for each table: Table Name, Rows, Disk Usage Size, Data Size, Macroblock Usage, Number of Partitions, and Auto-increment Column Usage.

  9. You can view the capacity information of the cluster.

    1. When you select all tenants, the database and table filters are not displayed. Instead, charts are displayed that show the usage of storage, partition replicas, CPU, and memory for different tenants in the cluster.

    2. The right side of the page shows the top 10 tenants by disk usage. You can expand a tenant to view the disk usage of its data and indexes.

      Click Details or a tenant name to view the data distribution details of tables in each database of that tenant. You can view the following information for each table: Table Name, Rows, Disk Usage Size, Data Size, Macroblock Usage, Number of Partitions, and Auto-increment Column Usage.

      Note

      • The number of rows cannot be retrieved for OceanBase 4.x versions.

      • The minimum unit for data display is 0.01 GB. A data size of less than 0.01 GB is displayed as 0 GB.
