Batch settings overview
Batch settings let you configure email accounts, departments, and security options in bulk from the administrator console.
Batch settings apply to individual email accounts or entire departments and their sub-departments. To modify a few accounts, use Method 1: Batch settings.

For bulk changes across departments or a large number of accounts, or to bind a security phone to an account, use Method 2: Batch edit accounts.

Method 1: Batch settings
Reset password
If a user forgets their password or is locked out after multiple incorrect attempts, you can reset the password here. The user can then log in with the new password.
Select the target accounts or departments, select the "Reset Password" checkbox, enter the new password twice, and then click "OK".
Selecting the "Require password change upon first login" checkbox prompts the user to change their password at their next login.
Email sending and receiving restrictions
Disabling external domain sending restricts an email account to sending emails only within your organization's domain. Enabling it allows the account to send emails to both internal and third-party domains.
Disabling external domain receiving prevents the account from receiving emails from external domains.
For accounts on the free Alibaba Mail for Business plan, disabling external domain sending is irreversible.
-
Select the target accounts or departments. Under "Email sending and receiving restrictions", for "external domain sending" or "external domain receiving", select "Allow" or "Forbid", and then click "OK".

-
To set an exception, click Set Exceptions > Manage or add email addresses/domain names. In the pop-up window, click "Add Email Address or Domain", click "Back", and then click "OK".

POP3/SMTP service
The IMAP and POP services let users access their email accounts from a third-party client. Select a checkbox to enable the corresponding service.

Unbind security phone
If a user's security phone is no longer accessible, an administrator can unbind it from their account. The user can then log in to the Alibaba Mail web client to bind a new security phone.
Auto forwarding permission
Enabling auto forwarding lets users within the domain forward their emails to another email address. Disabling it prevents them from doing so.

Corporate address book sharing
Controls whether an account appears in the corporate address book.
Select "Share" to make the account visible in the corporate address book.
Select "Do not share" to hide the account from the corporate address book.

Method 2: Batch edit accounts
-
Email addresses cannot be modified.
-
To view the progress in the Task Center, refresh the task list.
-
Select Edit Account as the operation type. To specify which accounts to download, enter their email addresses or add them from the address book. Then, click Start Download.

-
Select the account properties to export and click "OK".

-
Click Task Center to monitor the progress. Refresh the task list. When the status changes to Completed, click Export File to download the file for editing.

-
Modify the information in the downloaded file as needed and save it.

-
Click Import, select the modified file, and then go to the Task Center to monitor the progress.

-
Refresh the task list. When the status changes to Completed, download the execution results.

-
Review the execution results. The results file indicates whether each operation was a "Success" or "Failure". If an operation failed, the file provides a reason.
