Add your Alibaba Mail account to Foxmail using IMAP or POP3 so you can send and receive email from your desktop client.
Before you begin, enable IMAP or POP3 access in Alibaba Mail webmail and generate an authorization code. Your regular Alibaba Mail password cannot be used directly in Foxmail — the authorization code replaces it during client setup. For details, see IMAP, POP, and SMTP server addresses and ports.
Which protocol should you use?
Use IMAP for most setups. It syncs mail across all your devices and keeps your inbox in sync with Alibaba Mail webmail. Use POP3 only if you need a local offline backup of messages from your inbox.
