Configure your Alibaba Mail Enterprise account in Outlook for Windows using IMAP or POP3. Other Outlook versions can follow the same general steps.
-
By default, new users cannot use third-party clients. To use a third-party client, you can enable or disable the use of third-party clients. For enhanced account security, enable the security password for third-party clients feature.
-
Ensure that the required port is open on your local computer and network. For security reasons, Alibaba Cloud ECS blocks port 25 by default.
-
To configure Transport Layer Security (TLS) in Outlook, use port 587.
Alibaba Mail supports TLS for sending emails by default, but configuration and requirements vary by Outlook version. If the recipient's system requires TLS, send the email from the Alibaba Mail web client, Alibaba Mail client, or DingTalk Mail instead.
Step 1: Open Outlook. Go to File > Add Account or File > Account Settings > New. Enter your email address, select Let me set up my account manually, and click Connect.

Step 2: Select POP or IMAP as your account type. The following steps use IMAP as an example.

POP3 protocol settings
-
Incoming mail server: pop.qiye.aliyun.com or pop3.yourdomain.com, Port: 110 or 995
-
Outgoing mail server: smtp.qiye.aliyun.com or smtp.yourdomain.com, Port: 25 or 465
IMAP protocol settings
-
Incoming mail server: imap.qiye.aliyun.com or imap.yourdomain.com, Port: 143 or 993
-
Outgoing mail server: smtp.qiye.aliyun.com or smtp.yourdomain.com, Port: 25 or 465
For a complete list of server addresses and ports, refer to Alibaba Mail IMAP, POP, and SMTP server settings.
For enhanced security, use an SSL-encrypted connection. Ensure that ports 465, 995, and 993 are open on your local computer and network.
