What can Security Center monitor?

Security Center monitors logon activity, mailbox security, and email traffic across all accounts in your domain.

What is Security Center?

Security Center is a visualization dashboard in the Alibaba Mail console that surfaces potential security risks across all accounts in your domain. It gives you visibility into logon activity, email sending patterns, and incoming mail, and provides tools to act on at-risk accounts, such as those with weak passwords or missing secure phone numbers.

Access Security Center

Log on to the Alibaba Mail console with an administrator account. In the navigation pane, choose Security Management > Security Center.

Security Center includes five modules: Account Logon Map, Mailbox Security Score, Threat Alerts, Email Traffic Trends, and Top Senders. Use these modules to monitor logon status and email activity for all accounts in the domain.

Security Center modules

1. Account Logon Map: Displays logon locations for all accounts in your domain. Switch between a global view and a Chinese mainland view, and filter by the last 7 days or the last 30 days.

   1. Click the number next to Normal Logons or Abnormal Logons to view details, including the user's name, email address, logon time, logon method, and logon location.

   2. Click Export to download a list of logon accounts.

2. Mailbox Security Score and Threat Alerts: The Mailbox Security Score reflects the current security posture of your domain — a higher score means more security issues have been addressed. Threat Alerts highlight specific risks and link directly to remediation actions.

   1. Each threat alert includes a View Details link or a Go to Settings link.

   2. Click View Details to open a list of affected accounts. Click Export to download the list, then go to Task Hub to retrieve the file.

   3. From the View Details list, you can notify users to change their passwords. This sends an email from the administrator account to each user in the list. Each email is addressed dynamically to the corresponding user.

   4. Click Go to Settings to open the corresponding feature page.

      Note

      After you apply the settings, the score and the list of remaining accounts are updated the following day.

3. Email Traffic Trends and Top Senders: Shows the total number of emails sent and received per day, and the top five accounts by send and receive volume. Filter by the last 7 days or the last 30 days.
