This topic describes CNAME records.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you must understand the following concept: What is DNS?
CNAME
A CNAME record, or alias record, maps multiple names to the same computer.
For example, if you point the CNAME record for "mail.yourdomain.com" to "qiye.aliyun.com" or "mail.mxhichina.com", you can access the Alibaba Mail logon page using "mail.yourdomain.com".
If you use a custom domain name and need to disable earlier versions of Transport Layer Security (TLS), such as TLS 1.0, point the CNAME record to alimail-cn-web.aliyuncs.com. If you do not have this requirement, point the CNAME record to qiye.aliyun.com. This provides accelerated access for users outside China.
alimail-cn-web.aliyuncs.com supports TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3.
Supported ciphers: ECDHE-RSA-CHACHA20-POLY1305:ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256:ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384:DHE-RSA-AES256-CCM:DHE-RSA-AES256-CCM8:DHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384:DHE-RSA-AES128-CCM:DHE-RSA-AES128-CCM8:DHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256:ECDHE-ECDSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256.
