Migrate local email data using Outlook and IMAP
Upload local email data to Alibaba Mail by configuring Outlook with IMAP.

Steps:
1. Most Outlook versions do not support multiple accounts with the same email address, even with different server addresses. Workaround: configure an alias for your Alibaba Mail account and add it to Outlook, then copy emails from the original mailbox to the new one. Alternatively, export the .pst file from the original mailbox, delete the account, configure your Alibaba Mail account, and import the .pst file. This topic covers the latter method.
2. Outlook no longer supports configuring a mailbox if the domain's MX record does not point to the corresponding mail service.
3. Ensure the MX record for the domain of the destination Alibaba Mail account points to Alibaba Mail. Contact your mailbox administrator to confirm.
4. Enable the IMAP service for the destination Alibaba Mail account. Enable or disable POP3 and IMAP for an account.
1. Configure your original mailbox in Outlook using IMAP. Skip this step if already configured. Wait for Outlook to download all emails.
2. Verify Outlook downloaded your original mailbox data to a local .pst file.
3. Configure your Alibaba Mail account in Outlook using IMAP. Configure an Alibaba Mail account in Outlook.
4. Load the local .pst file to upload data to Alibaba Mail.
A. In Outlook, open the configured Alibaba Mail account. At the bottom of the window, confirm the status shows Connected to server.
B. Verify the .pst file from your original mailbox is loaded and visible in Outlook.
C. Copy folders from the original mailbox to upload, such as Inbox.
D. Copy the folder to Alibaba Mail and click OK.
E. Wait for data to synchronize with the Alibaba Mail server. Large volumes may take a long time.
Do not close Outlook during the upload — this is a continuous process. Large volumes may take a long time. Maintain a stable network connection throughout.
5. Log on to the Alibaba Mail web client to verify synchronization is complete.
