Note
  1. The MX record for the Alibaba Mail domain that will receive the migrated data has already been switched to Alibaba Mail.

  2. IMAP service is enabled for the Alibaba Mail account that will receive the migrated data. For instructions, see How do I enable or disable POP3 and IMAP protocols for an account?.

  1. Configure your original email account in the Foxmail client using the IMAP protocol (skip this step if you have already configured it). Wait for Foxmail to download all emails.

  2. Export emails folder by folder.

    1. Open a mail folder, press CTRL+A to select all emails, right-click, and choose “Export Messages.”image

    2. Select a directory to save the exported emails.image

  3. Configure your Alibaba Mail account in the Foxmail client using the IMAP protocol. For detailed steps, see Configure an Alibaba Mail account in Foxmail.

  4. Import the exported emails from your original mailbox into Alibaba Mail.

    2. In the new folder, click “Import Messages.”image

    3. Select all emails you want to import and click “Open.”image

    4. When prompted whether to sync with the mail server, select “Yes.”image

    5. Repeat these steps to import all emails.

    6. Wait for the data to sync to the Alibaba Mail server.

      Note

Uploading data to Alibaba Mail requires the Foxmail client to stay connected to the internet. Do not close Foxmail during this process. If you have a large volume of email data, be patient. Ensure your computer maintains stable network connectivity throughout the upload.

  5. Log on to the Alibaba Mail web interface to confirm that email synchronization is complete.image.png
