Emails are missing from your inbox

The system does not automatically delete emails from your inbox. If emails are missing, follow these steps:

1. Check other folders for the missing emails, such as Deleted Items, Ads, and Spam. If you find the emails, correct the settings that caused them to be moved, and then move them back to your inbox.

2. Check your email client for the missing emails. If you find them, restore them to the webmail interface. To do this, configure your account with the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) and drag the emails to an IMAP folder.

Possible causes include the following:

1. Emails were moved due to incorrect mailbox settings, such as email forwarding or filtering rules. 2. Emails were downloaded to a local computer by an email client, such as Outlook, that uses the POP protocol. A copy was not saved on the server because the option to keep a backup was not selected. 3. You configured mailbox migration to another mailbox but did not select the option to keep a backup in the original mailbox.

Emails are missing from the Subscriptions, Deleted Items, Ads, and Spam folders

The system automatically purges emails that have been in the Deleted Items and Spam folders for 30 days or more. Other folders are not affected. Note: After the system purges these emails, they cannot be recovered. Organize your mailbox regularly to prevent emails from being purged.

All emails from all folders are missing

An unauthorized person may have used your password to log on to your mailbox and manually delete your emails. Because the logon was authenticated, permanently deleted emails cannot be recovered. Update your password and complete your account security information promptly to prevent this from happening again.
