Diagnosing why an email was not received

Description:

You send an email to an external domain. The system indicates that the email was sent successfully, and you do not receive a bounce email. However, the recipient reports that they did not receive the email.

Solution:

If you do not receive a bounce email and the delivery log shows a successful status, this means the email was accepted by the recipient's server. Ask the recipient to check their spam or junk folder. They should also check if an email rule moved the message to a different folder. If the recipient still cannot find the email, they must contact their mailbox service provider to investigate why the email was not delivered to their mailbox after the server accepted it. The sender cannot assist with this part of the investigation.
