  1. These Terms of Service constitute a valid contract between you and Alibaba Cloud governing your use of Alibaba Cloud Customer Service. By selecting "Activate for Free" and continuing, you agree to abide by all the terms in this agreement.

  2. You understand and agree that you use Alibaba Cloud Customer Service based on your own independent judgment. This includes determining the compatibility of this service with your operating system, Elastic Compute Service instances, and other software and hardware. You are solely responsible for this determination. Before you use Alibaba Cloud Customer Service, you must read the service description on the Alibaba Cloud website and carefully follow the related operational guides.

  3. You understand and agree that you are responsible for backing up your business data associated with your use of Alibaba Cloud Customer Service.

  4. You understand and agree that while using the Alibaba Cloud Customer Service provided by Alibaba Cloud:

    4.1. You must not compromise or attempt to compromise network security. This includes, but is not limited to, phishing, hacking, online fraud, or hosting or distributing content that contains or is suspected of spreading viruses, Trojan horses, or malicious code. You must not use a virtual server to conduct attacks against other websites or servers, such as scanning, sniffing attacks, ARP spoofing, or DDoS attacks.

    4.2. You must not modify or attempt to modify the system configuration provided by Alibaba Cloud or compromise system and network security.

    4.3. You must not modify, translate, adapt, rent, sublicense, distribute over information networks, or transfer the software or services provided by Alibaba Cloud. You must not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the software provided by Alibaba Cloud.

    4.4. You must not copy, distribute, transfer, license, or provide the Alibaba Cloud Customer Service to others for use without prior written consent from Alibaba Cloud.

    4.5. You must not distribute email advertisements or spam.

    4.6. You must not use Alibaba Cloud Customer Service in any way that violates national or local laws and regulations, industry practices, or public morals. You must not use the service in a way that adversely affects or harms the interests of Alibaba Cloud or Alibaba Group.

  5. Limitation and exclusion of liability. You understand and agree that although Alibaba Cloud Customer Service is designed for high service availability and reliability, Alibaba Cloud does not guarantee any level of service availability or reliability during the free trial period. Alibaba Cloud is not responsible for any work you perform or results you obtain from using Alibaba Cloud Customer Service.

  6. Changes and termination

    6.1. You understand and agree that Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to modify, cancel, or improve one or more features of Alibaba Cloud Customer Service, or the entire service, at any time. If features are modified or improved, Alibaba Cloud may require you to use the updated version. Alibaba Cloud will notify you in advance by posting an announcement on the website or by sending you an on-site notification.

    6.2. If you violate any of these terms, Alibaba Cloud may suspend or terminate your use of the service at any time without notice. Alibaba Cloud may also take this action if it determines, in its sole judgment, that your use of the service is inappropriate. Inappropriate use includes actions that endanger network security, such as your website experiencing computer viruses, network intrusions, or damages from attacks (including but not limited to DDoS). If these actions harm Alibaba Cloud or affect its connection to the Internet, specific networks, servers, or its internal network, Alibaba Cloud has the right to suspend or terminate your service. If your actions cause losses to Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to demand compensation from you.

    6.3. If the service is terminated in accordance with Sections 6.1 and 6.2, Alibaba Cloud is not obligated to store your data. This means that any projects or requests you have created will be released and the associated data will be deleted.

  7. Confidentiality. You and Alibaba Cloud are both responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the other party's information. This obligation does not apply to information that is required to be disclosed by a competent national administrative or judicial authority, or to information that has entered the public domain.

  8. Other

    8.1. You understand and agree that Alibaba Cloud currently provides Alibaba Cloud Customer Service to you for free. You do not need to pay a fee to activate or use the service. Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to charge fees for the service in the future. If this occurs, Alibaba Cloud will announce the charging policy and rules 10 calendar days in advance. The announcement will be posted on the website or sent to you as an on-site notification. If you continue to use the service, you must pay in accordance with the effective charging policy and comply with the terms of service in effect at that time. If you refuse to pay the service fee, Alibaba Cloud has the right to stop providing the service to you and is not obligated to retain your business data.

    8.2. Alibaba Cloud has the right to modify these terms of service at any time in response to changes in relevant laws and regulations, or adjustments in company operations and business strategies. The modified terms will be published on the Alibaba Cloud website (www.aliyun.com). If you do not agree with the modifications, you must stop using Alibaba Cloud Customer Service. If you continue to use the service, your continued use will be deemed as acceptance of the modified terms.

    8.3. If any term in these terms of service is completely or partially invalid or unenforceable for any reason, or violates any applicable law, that term is considered severed from these terms. The remaining terms of this agreement will remain in full force and effect.

    8.4. These terms of service are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If a dispute arises in connection with these terms, both parties will attempt to resolve it through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the Hangzhou Xihu District People's Court for litigation.
