Manage data migration tasks with tags

Limits

• You can add a maximum of 4 tags to each data migration task.

• The total number of tags for all data migration tasks cannot exceed 100.

• A tag name must be unique within Data Transmission Service.

• You can view and manage only the tags in your current account.

Go to the Manage Tags dialog box

1. Log on to the OceanBase console .

2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Data Transmission > Data Migration.

3. Open the Manage Tags dialog box.

   You can open the Manage Tags dialog box in one of two ways:

   • From the tag edit icon for a task

     1. On the Data Migration page, find the task to which you want to add a tag.

     2. Hover the mouse over the task name and click the tag edit icon that appears.

        

     3. In the Edit Tags dialog box, click the tag name text box.

     4. In the drop-down list, click Manage Tags.

   • From the tag drop-down list on the data migration task list

     1. On the Data Migration page, click Tags in the upper-right corner.

     2. In the drop-down list, click Manage Tags.

        

Create a tag

1. In the Manage Tags dialog box, click New Tag.

   

2. In the New Tag dialog box, enter a Tag Name.

   Important

   The tag name must be 1 to 20 characters in length and cannot contain spaces.

3. Click OK.

Modify a tag

1. In the Manage Tags dialog box, click Modify next to the target tag.

   

2. In the Modify Tag dialog box, enter the new tag name.

   Important

   The tag name must be 1 to 20 characters in length and cannot contain spaces.

3. Click OK.

   • If no tasks use the tag, it is modified immediately.

   • If the tag is used by one or more tasks, a dialog box appears showing the number of tasks that use the tag. Confirm that you want to modify the tag, and then click OK.

     

Delete a tag

1. In the Manage Tags dialog box, click Delete next to the target tag.

   

2. (Optional) If the tag is used by one or more tasks, confirm the information in the dialog box and click Delete.

   

   Note

   • This step is not required if no tasks use the tag.

   • After deletion, the tag is removed from all tasks that use it. Proceed with caution.

Remove a tag

1. On the Data Migration page, find the task from which you want to remove a tag.

2. Hover the mouse over the task name and click the tag edit icon that appears.

   

3. In the Edit Tags dialog box, click the delete icon next to the tag that you want to remove.

   

4. Click OK.
