This topic describes the operation flow of IoT Platform.
Overview of IoT Platform

Log on to IoT Platform
You need an account to log on to the IoT Platform console. For more information, see Log on to IoT Platform.
Console homepage
The following figure shows the homepage of the IoT Platform console.
Project management
When you open the IoT Platform console, the Project Management page is displayed by default.
On the Project Management page, you can create and manage your projects. For more information, see Create a project.

On the All Projects tab, you can view all projects, including self-built projects and authorized projects. |
Self-built Projects |
On the Self-built Projects tab, you can view all projects created by the current Alibaba Cloud account. |
Authorized Projects |
On the Authorized Projects tab, you can view projects that are authorized by other accounts. For more information, see Authorize a project. |
Product management
After you create a project on the Project Management page, you can create products within that project. For more information, see Create a product.
After you create a product, you can click Continue to Develop on the project homepage to navigate to the product development page.
To develop a complete product, you can perform the following steps in the console: .
Feature definition
You can add and define product features. For more information, see Add a standard feature. For more operations, see the other documents in this folder.
Human-computer interaction
On the Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) configuration page, you can select an app and configure its settings to associate the product with the app. For more information, see HMI overview. For more operations, see the other documents in this folder.
Debug devices
On the device debugging page, you must first select a certified module or chip. For more information, see Select a certified module or chip.

Product Release
You can confirm the product information, complete the product testing and verification as prompted on the page, and then submit a request to publish the product.
After the platform approves your request, the product is published and listed.
During product development, you can use the intelligent development assistant in the upper-right corner of the page to view the development progress and review device development specifications. For more information, see Intelligent guidance assistant.
Mass Production Center
After a product is published, devices can enter the mass production stage. On the mass production management page of the platform, you can assign activation codes to devices and start mass production. For detailed operations, see Mass production flow.
App management
When consumers use smart devices in the lifestyle realm, they typically use a mobile app or voice commands to control the devices. IoT Platform provides several app versions. For more information, see App overview.
Cloud Intelligence App
You can download and use the Cloud Intelligence App directly. For more information, see Introduction to the Cloud Intelligence App.

Proprietary App
To develop a proprietary app, you must have development capabilities. For more information, see Create a proprietary app.
Tmall Genie App
You can download and use the Tmall Genie App directly. You can configure the required settings on the page.
Operations Hub
Each project in IoT Platform includes an independent, development-free operations management backend. In the Operations Hub, you can monitor device O&M, view user operations statistics, and manage products. For instructions on how to access the Operations Hub, see Operations Hub overview.
You can customize the skin for the Operations Hub. For more information, see Set the skin for the Operations Hub.
AIoT Innovation Factory
The Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Innovation Factory is a platform that allows service providers and manufacturers to develop customized, value-added software services for products. On this platform, you can use customized Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. For more information, see Introduction to the AIoT Innovation Factory.
