IoT Platform lets you manage projects. You can grant project permissions to other members, rename projects, and delete projects.
Prerequisites
You have logged on to IoT Platform. For more information, see Log on to IoT Platform.
You have created a project. For more information, see Create a project.
Grant project permissions
If you need other members to help manage your project, you can grant them project-level permissions. You can also grant permissions for all or some products in the project to other Alibaba Cloud accounts. This enables team collaboration and lets you deliver the Operations Hub independently.
Procedure
- Log on to IoT Platform.
- Select a project and click Project Settings.
- (Optional) If your account has not been authorized, the Permission Authorization dialog box appears. You must grant the required permissions to the platform.
- In the Permission Authorization dialog box, click Confirm.
- On the Cloud Resource Access Authorization page, click Agree to Authorization.
- On the Member Management page, click Add Member.
- Configure the following required parameters and click OK.
- Member Account
Enter the account to which you want to grant permissions. The account can be an Alibaba Cloud account, a Taobao member name, or a 1688.com member name.
Note The account must be an individual or enterprise Alibaba Cloud account. You cannot grant permissions to RAM users. You can register an Alibaba Cloud account here. - Alias
Enter an alias for the authorized account. An alias helps you identify the account for future maintenance.

The member can edit only the specified products and cannot create, copy, or delete products in the project.
- Project Authorization
The member can edit all existing products and any new products that are added to the project. The member can also create products in the project.

- Permission Scope
Select the permission scope for the member. This setting is used in conjunction with the Permission Type. The available scopes are described in the following table.
Permission Scope Description and Scenarios Authorized Account Display Specific Products Project Authorization Development Center The Development Center includes Product Development, App Development, Service Center, and Mass Production Management. This scope is suitable for collaborative development among multiple parties. On the project homepage, the member can view only the authorized products. The project homepage displays all products in the project. Operations Hub The Operations Hub consists of Device Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and User Operations. It is a complete Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that you can deliver directly to a device operator. In the Operations Hub, the member can view statistics only for the authorized products. In the Operations Hub, the member can view statistics for all products in the project. Mass Production Center The Mass Production Center is the Mass Production Management page. It is used to manage activation codes. You can grant this permission separately to activation code managers or production line staff to prevent them from accidentally modifying product information. Mass Production Management page, the member can view only the authorized products. Only the authorized products can be mass-produced. Mass Production Management page, the member can view all products in the project. All products in the project can be mass-produced.

Result
Log on to IoT Platform using the member's account. The authorized project and its permissions are displayed under Authorized Projects.
Rename a project
You can change the name of a project.
- Hover over the project that you want to rename, and click the pencil icon that appears.
- Enter a new project name.
Note
The new project name cannot be the same as an existing project name.
- Click OK.
Delete a project
You can delete a project if you no longer need it. When you delete a project, all related data, such as products and apps, is also deleted. This operation cannot be undone. Proceed with caution.
To delete a self-branded project, the project must meet the following conditions:
- All products in the project must be in the Developing
If a product in the project is in the Published state, you cannot delete the project. You must first change the product's status to Developing before you can delete the project.
- No test devices have been added to any product in the project.
If a test device is added to a product, you must delete the device in the IoT Platform console before you delete the project. For more information about how to delete test devices, see View device information.

- Hover over the self-branded project that you want to delete, and click the
icon that appears. - In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
