This topic describes overdue payments and how to convert the billing method for TSDB instances.

Overdue payments

The following table lists the retention periods for TSDB instances and their data after an instance expires or has an overdue payment.

Billing method	Description of expiration or overdue payment
Subscription	The instance is released 7 days after it expires. Online data (data accessed in the instance) is also deleted and cannot be recovered.
Pay-as-you-go	If your account has an overdue payment, all pay-as-you-go instances under that account enter an overdue state. After a payment becomes overdue, the instance continues to run for 24 hours and is then locked. If the payment is still overdue 7 days later, the instance is released. The online data (data accessed in the instance) is also deleted and cannot be recovered.

You can convert the billing method of an instance from pay-as-you-go to subscription in the TSDB console. The procedure is as follows:

Log on to the TSDB console and go to the Instance List page.
Find the instance whose billing method you want to convert. In the Operation column, click Convert to Subscription.
