Billing method
Alibaba Cloud DNS PrivateZone uses a pay-as-you-go billing method. Charges apply to the Authoritative Zone and Resolver modules.
Authoritative Zone charges include the following: base configuration fees + request volume fees. Billing is calculated and settled daily. If a zone is deleted before it has been active for a full day, no charges are incurred for that day.
Resolver charges include the following: number of source IP addresses for outbound endpoints + number of DNS requests forwarded by outbound endpoints. Billing is settled daily.

Resolver
Ignore these charges if you do not use the Resolver feature.

Example
Account A has three zones: example.com, example.aliyundoc.com, and inner.example.local.
In one day, Account A receives a total of 64,131 DNS origin requests for domain names in these three zones.
The total daily fee for Account A is CNY 0.49. This is calculated as: CNY 0.30 (base fee for 3 zones) + CNY 0.19 (request fee for 6.41 × 10,000 requests, rounded).
Note
DNS queries use a TTL caching mechanism. The daily billable request volume for a zone is the total number of requests minus the number of requests that hit the TTL cache.
For example: The TTL for www.example.com is set to 30 seconds. If your internal services send 1,000 DNS requests per second to access www.example.com, all requests for the next 30 seconds will hit the TTL cache. These cache hits are not billed. After the 30-second TTL expires, the DNS server makes one origin request for www.example.com, and only this single origin request is billed.

In principle:
A longer TTL value results in a lower frequency of origin requests from the DNS server. This means changes to the domain name take longer to propagate, and your costs will be lower.
A shorter TTL value results in a higher frequency of origin requests from the DNS server. This means changes to the domain name propagate faster, and your costs will be higher.
Overdue payments
If your account has an overdue payment, your PrivateZone service continues to run for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the service is suspended.
Billing stops when the service is suspended. To avoid service interruption, add funds to your account within 24 hours of the payment becoming overdue. If the payment is still overdue after 7 days, the service is released.
You will receive a text message or email reminder one day before the service is released. After the service is released, all related zone configurations and data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
If you pay the overdue amount within 7 days, the service automatically resumes.
