Feature overview

The spatial data service lets you ingest and manage heterogeneous spatial data from multiple sources. It supports various data formats, such as single files, multiple files, and databases, and multiple data types, including vector, raster, tile, and oblique photography. You can add data by uploading local files or importing data from Object Storage Service (OSS). When you add data, the service automatically parses the metadata, which lets you uniformly retrieve, analyze, and manage all spatial data on the platform.

Data management

  • You can add various types of spatial data, such as vector, raster, and oblique photography, in formats like single files, multiple files, or databases. You can add data by uploading files or importing data from OSS.

  • You can perform batch deletion, run data queries, and publish services for your added data.

  • You can view basic and spatial information for your data, including details such as geometry, units, feature counts, coordinate references, and spatial extent. This information helps you perform spatial retrieval, data quality inspection, and data lineage tracking in the spatial database.

Spatio-temporal retrieval

You can perform spatio-temporal retrieval on vector and raster data. You can specify any spatial range or an administrative region for the retrieval.

Ingestion tasks

  • You can add vector data from Shapefile, GeoJSON, and CSV files to the default spatial database or a specified PostGIS or Ganos database. This lets you perform spatial retrieval, data quality inspection, and data lineage tracking. It also connects the data to the compute engine, which allows the spatial data to be used for data mid-end tasks, such as building data warehouses and managing tags.

  • You can manage ingestion tasks.

  • You can view the details of an ingestion task. These details include basic task information, the target ingestion table, and the task execution status.

Data processing

  • You can process oblique photography data by converting it from OSGB format to S3M format. You can then add the processed data to Data Management to use it for data mid-end tasks, such as building data warehouses and managing tags.

  • You can manage data processing tasks.

  • You can view the details of a data processing task. These details include basic task information, the data being processed, data coordinate location, result data, parameter settings, and the task execution status.

  • You can view the operational properties and operational logs for a data processing task.
