If your Data Security Center (DSC) instance no longer meets your business requirements, you can upgrade it. This topic describes how to upgrade a DSC instance.
Upgrading an instance does not change its subscription duration. Its remaining service period is unaffected.
Editions
-
You can upgrade from Value-added Service Only to the Pro or Enterprise edition. You can also upgrade from the Pro edition to the Enterprise edition. Within your current edition, you can flexibly upgrade module capacity, for example, to support more columns for column encryption.
Important-
You must pay the price difference for the upgrade.
The price difference is calculated as follows:
(Daily price of the new instance - Daily price of the original instance) × Remaining days in the subscription period. -
If you request a refund for a DSC instance, the instance is released at 23:00 (UTC+8) on the same day. All resources and data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If an instance expires without renewal, its resources are released after 15 days.
-
-
The DSC Free Edition does not support upgrades or renewals. If the specifications of the free edition cannot meet your business requirements, purchase Data Security Center to ensure continuous data security.
NoteAfter you purchase a paid DSC edition, DSC retains the resources and data from your Free Edition.
-
If you have enabled the 7-day free trial of the Enterprise edition, you cannot upgrade the instance during the trial. After the trial ends, you can enable the Free Edition or purchase a paid edition, but all resources and data from the trial are released.
Procedure

On the Overview page, click Upgrade.
