Purchase a Database Audit instance (No longer available for purchase)

Procedure

1. Go to the Database Audit purchase page.

2. On the Database Audit purchase page, configure the following parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Product type	Database Audit (MLPS-compliant Edition) is selected by default. Keep the default value.
   Region and availability zone	Select the region for your Database Audit instance. Important The Database Audit instance must be able to connect to your self-managed databases or the application servers (ECS instances) that access them. For best performance, select the same region as your business systems.
   Series	Select an instance series. Valid values: C100: Uses Log Service (SLS) for real-time log analysis and storage, with support for dynamic storage scaling. A single C100 instance can audit a fixed number of database instances: 3, 5, 10, 25, 50, or 80. D100: Built on a cloud-native architecture, this series uses Log Service (SLS) for real-time log analysis and storage with dynamic scaling. It leverages native components like cloud-native databases, load balancing, and Log Service to provide Database Audit Service as a SaaS solution. Ideal for auditing scenarios that require high concurrency, high traffic, and unified management of multiple instances. A single D100 instance can audit from 1 to 150 database instances, and you can scale the number of audited instances and expand log storage on demand, up to a maximum of 200 TB.
   Edition	This parameter is available only when Series is set to C100. Select an edition for the C100 Database Audit instance. Valid values: Professional 3 Instances: Supports auditing up to 3 database instances and includes 500 GB of log storage. Advanced 5 Instances: Supports auditing up to 5 database instances and includes 1 TB of log storage. Advanced Plus 10 Instances: Supports auditing up to 10 database instances and includes 1.5 TB of log storage. Enterprise 25 Instances: Supports auditing up to 25 database instances and includes 2 TB of log storage. Enterprise Plus 50 Instances: Supports auditing up to 50 database instances and includes 4 TB of log storage. Ultimate 80 Instances: Supports auditing up to 80 database instances and includes 6 TB of log storage. The required number of instances is the total count of unique, active database ports across all your database IP addresses. For example, you have two database assets: IP 1 and IP 2. IP 1 exposes one database port, which counts as one database instance. IP 2 exposes three database ports, which counts as three database instances. In total, you need to purchase capacity for four database instances. Therefore, you must select an edition supporting at least four instances, such as Advanced 5 Instances. Note These editions differ only in the number of supported databases, the included log storage, and performance parameters. The features are the same across all editions. We recommend that you select an edition based on the number of database instances you need to audit, your log storage requirements, and performance needs. For more information, see C100 instances.
   Service-linked role	This parameter is available only when Series is set to D100. You do not need to configure this parameter. Database Audit Service requires access to other Alibaba Cloud services to create and store your raw logs in Log Service. To obtain the necessary permissions, the service creates a service-linked role. This role is created automatically when you select the D100 series. For more information about the service-linked role, see Service-linked roles.
   Number of instances	This parameter is available only when Series is set to D100. Select the number of databases you need to audit. You can select a value from 1 to 150. Performance parameters, such as peak throughput and default storage, vary based on the number of instances. For more information, see D100 instances. The required number of instances is the total count of unique, active database ports across all your database IP addresses. For example, you have two database assets: IP 1 and IP 2. IP 1 exposes one database port, which counts as one database instance. IP 2 exposes three database ports, which counts as three database instances. In total, you need to account for four database instances. Therefore, you must specify a value of 4 or greater for this parameter.
   Log storage	Each purchased edition of Database Audit Service includes a specific amount of log storage. For more information about the default storage, see Billing methods. If the included storage is insufficient, you can purchase additional log storage. You can select a value from 0 to 200 TB.
   Resource group	A resource group allows you to centrally manage related resources under your account. You can select an existing resource group or click Create Now to add a new one. For more information about how to create a resource group, see Create a resource group.
   Purchase quantity	Select the number of Database Audit instances to purchase.
   Subscription duration	Select the subscription duration for the instance. If you want the subscription to be automatically renewed upon expiration, select Auto-renewal.

3. Click Buy Now.

4. On the Confirm Order page, review and accept the Service Agreement, then complete the payment.

5. Return to the Database Audit Console to find your new Database Audit instance.
