The Database Audit D100 instance lets you view risk logs and events, such as an abnormal agent status, on the console. It also sends email notifications to ensure you receive timely alerts and can take action. This topic describes how to configure notifications for risk alerts and system alerts.

Risk alert notifications

The system sends risk alerts by email when an event triggers an alert rule, ensuring you are notified promptly. Follow these steps to configure a risk alert notification task.

  1. Log on to the Database Audit system. For more information, see Log on to the Database Audit system.

  2. In the navigation pane, click Alert Notification.

  3. On the Risk Alert tab, click Add.

  4. In the Add Alert Task panel, configure the alert notification settings and click Save.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

Enter a name for the alert task.

    Risk level for triggering alerts

Select the risk level that triggers a notification.

    Associated database

Select the database to which this alert rule applies.

    Contact email

    Enter the recipient's email address.

Click Register. In the Email Registration dialog box, verify the email address. Only verified email addresses can be saved as a contact email.

    Enable

Select this option to enable the alert rule. When an alert of the specified risk level occurs in the associated database, the Database Audit service sends a notification to the contact email.

The task checks for alerts every five minutes. If a risk is detected, the system sends an email notification. If no risk is detected, the system waits for the next check.

System alert notifications

System alerts report issues such as agent exceptions or when no audit data is received for an entire day. By default, the Database Audit service creates a notification task named System Alert. This task sends an alert notification to the email address associated with your Alibaba Cloud account when an agent's status is abnormal or no audit data is available. You cannot modify or delete the default system alert task, but you can enable or disable it.

To use a different email address for these notifications, follow these steps to configure a new system alert notification task.

  1. Log on to the Database Audit system. For more information, see Log on to the Database Audit system.

  2. In the navigation pane, click Alert Notification.

  3. On the Alert Notification page, click the System Alert tab, and then click Add.

  4. In the Add Alert Task panel, configure the Name and Contact Email, and then click Save.

Select Enable to enable the alert rule.
