After you purchase a Database Audit instance, you must enable it to log on to Database Audit and use its auditing services.
Procedure
-
Log on to the Database Audit console.
-
In the navigation pane on the left, choose C100 Instances.
-
On the C100 Instances page, find the instance that you want to enable and click Enable.
NoteYou can click Enable only when the instance is in the Uninitialized state.
-
In the Enable dialog box, select a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and a VSwitch for the instance, and then click OK.
ImportantYou cannot modify the VPC and VSwitch settings after the instance is enabled. Select a VPC for the instance based on the following scenarios.
-
If you are auditing a self-managed database on an ECS instance, select the VPC of that ECS instance.
-
If you are auditing a database like an RDS instance, select the VPC of the application server that connects to it.
-
Result
After you enable the instance, it takes about 20 minutes for the system to create the necessary resources. During this process, the instance status is Initializing, and a Creating label is displayed to its right. After the resources are created, the instance status changes to Running. The instance overview card shows the status as Running, the edition as Professional Edition 3 instance, and the image version as V3.1.7. In the Storage Information section, the usage for both Audit and Session is 0%. The right side of the card displays the expiration date and a Renew link. On the far right, the Manage button opens the instance details page.
