To back up custom rules or import existing ones, use the rule maintenance feature. This feature allows you to export or import all types of custom rules.

Procedure

Log on to the Database Audit system. For more information, see Log in to the Database Audit system.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Rule Configuration > Rule Maintenance.
Export or import custom rules.
- Export custom rules
  Click Export rules to export all custom rules from the current Database Auditing C100 instance to your browser's default download location.
  Important
  The exported rule file is for backup only. It is password-protected and cannot be modified. You do not need to open the file.
- Import custom rules
  Click Import rules, select the rule file to import, and then click Open to import the custom rules to the current Database Auditing instance.
  Important
  If an imported rule has the same name as an existing one, it overwrites the existing rule.
