The Report Center presents analysis results from Database Audit as various types of reports. Supported report types include the Sarbanes-Oxley report, comprehensive analysis report, and performance analysis report. You can use the report that best suits your business needs. This topic describes the available report types and explains how to view, subscribe to, and export them, and how to manage subscription tasks.

Supported report types

Report name

Description

Sarbanes-Oxley report

This report helps administrators and auditors quickly detect exceptions and policy violations, enabling rapid analysis, troubleshooting, and response. It provides data to support information security decisions.

comprehensive analysis report

This report provides a comprehensive analysis of your database across four dimensions: SQL statement execution, session connections, risk events, and SQL performance.

performance analysis report

This report analyzes database performance within a specified time range across five dimensions: performance trends, databases or SIDs with the worst performance, longest-running SQL queries, SQL templates with the worst performance, and most frequently executed SQL templates.

MLPS 2.0 Compliance Report

This report provides targeted data analysis and visualization based on the evaluation requirements of the national standard GB/T 28448-2019, also known as Multi-Level Protection Scheme (MLPS) 2.0. It focuses on areas relevant to MLPS 2.0 security audits, such as intrusion prevention, malicious code monitoring, and security audit monitoring.

statement analysis reports

This category of reports analyzes and displays statement-related information within a specified time range across five dimensions: SQL statement analysis, failed statement analysis, SQL statement trends, audit trends, and analysis of the most frequently executed SQL templates.

session analysis reports

This category includes reports on session count trends, new sessions, concurrent sessions, and failed sessions.

alert analysis reports

This category of reports analyzes the current alert status across four dimensions: alert trends, alert sources, alert objects, and rule hits.

Other reports

This category includes reports on client tool analysis, database account analysis, database or SID analysis, and database access source IP analysis.

View, subscribe to, and export reports

  1. Log on to the Database Audit system. For more information, see Log on to the Database Audit system.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Report Center > Report Preview.

  3. On the Report Preview page, click the tab for the report you want to view.

    Report Center supports multiple report types. For more information about each report type, see Supported report types. Available report tabs include Sarbanes-Oxley report, comprehensive analysis report, performance analysis report, MLPS 2.0 Compliance Report, statement analysis reports, session analysis reports, alert analysis reports, and Other reports. After you select a tab, you can filter data by using the asset and time range drop-down lists. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Subscribe or Export.

  4. Above the report, configure the query options to filter the results.

    You can configure the following query options:

    • asset: Select the assets and asset groups to include in the report.

    • time range: Today, This Week, This Month, Last 3 Months, Last 6 Months, Last 12 Months, Yesterday, Last Week, Last Month, and Custom.

      Note

      The report aggregation granularity depends on the specified time range.

      • If the time range is 24 hours or less, the report data is aggregated by the hour.

      • If the time range is more than 24 hours and up to 40 days, the report data is aggregated by the day.

      • If the time range is more than 40 days, the report data is aggregated by the month.

  5. Subscribe to a report.

    You can subscribe to a report to have Database Audit periodically email it to you. Follow these steps to add a subscription task.

    1. In the upper-right corner of the current report, click Subscribe.

    2. In the Add Subscription Task panel, configure the subscription task parameters.

      The following table describes the parameters.

      Parameter

      Description

      task name

      Enter a name for the subscription task. The name must be 1 to 64 characters and can contain Chinese characters, letters, digits, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-).

      recipient email

      Enter the email addresses of the recipients. Separate multiple addresses with commas (,).

      report type

      Select the type of report you want to subscribe to. Valid values:

      • Sarbanes-Oxley report

      • comprehensive analysis report

      • performance analysis report

      • MLPS 2.0 Compliance Report

      • SQL statement analysis

      • Failed statement analysis

      • SQL statement trend analysis

      • Session count trend analysis

      • New session analysis

      • Concurrent session analysis

      • Failed session analysis

      • Alert trend analysis

      • Alert source analysis

      • Alert object analysis

      • Rule hit analysis

      • Client tool analysis

      • Database account analysis

      • Database/SID analysis

      • Database access source IP analysis

      • Audit trend analysis

      • Most executed SQL template analysis

      report format

      Select the format for the subscribed report. Valid values:

      • HTML

      • PDF

      • PNG

      • WORD

      asset

      Select the database assets and asset groups for the report subscription.

      task period

      The frequency at which the subscription email is sent. Valid values:

      • Daily

      • Weekly

      • Monthly

      • Yearly

      send time

      Specify the exact time to send the email, based on the selected task period.

      time range

      This parameter is required only when task period is set to Daily. It specifies the time range of audit logs to include in the report.

    3. Click Save.

      After you add a subscription task, you can edit or delete it on the Manage Subscription Tasks page. For more information, see Manage subscription tasks.

  6. Export a report.

    In the Report Center, you can export reports in HTML, PDF, PNG, and WORD formats. To export a report, follow these steps.

    1. In the upper-right corner of the current report, click Export.

    2. Select the export format.

      The following formats are supported:

      • HTML (Recommended)

      • PDF

      • PNG

      • WORD

      • EXCEL

      • CSV

    3. After the file is generated, click Download in the Download dialog box.

      The report is downloaded to your browser's default download location.

Manage subscription tasks

  1. Log on to the Database Audit system. For more information, see Log on to the Database Audit system.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Report Center > Report Subscription.

  3. On the Manage Subscription Tasks page, add, edit, or delete subscription tasks as needed.

    • Add a subscription task

      1. Above the subscription task list, click Add.

      2. In the Add Subscription Task panel, configure the task parameters. For a detailed description of the parameters, see the parameter description table.

      3. Click Save.

      After the subscription task is added, it appears in the Subscription Task List. Database Audit periodically sends the subscribed report to your specified email address.

    • Edit a subscription task

      1. In the subscription task list, find the task that you want to edit and click Actions > Edit.

      2. In the Edit Subscription Task panel, modify the task parameters. For a detailed description of the parameters, see the parameter description table.

      3. Click Save.

    • Delete a subscription task

      1. In the subscription task list, find the task that you want to delete and click Actions > Delete.

      2. In the Confirm Subscription Task Deletion dialog box, click OK.

      After the task is deleted, Database Audit removes it from the subscription task list and stops sending the corresponding report.
