This topic describes how to install DTS Skills. It covers how to install the command-line tool dtscli, how to use dtscli to install the required Skills, and the list of supported Agents along with descriptions of the installation parameters.

Note

The following operations use Qoder (host identifier: qoder) as an example. If you use another Agent, replace qoder in the commands with the corresponding identifier.

Step 1: Install dtscli

dtscli is a runtime dependency of DTS Skills. Select an installation method based on your operating system.

macOS and Linux

Run the installation command: In a terminal, run the following command:
```
curl -fsSL 'https://aliyun-dts-cli.oss-cn-hangzhou.aliyuncs.com/install.sh' | bash
```
Installation process:
- After the script runs, it prints the installation plan in the terminal, including the download path and the installation directory.
- Carefully check the information and enter the confirmation command as prompted on the screen to continue the installation.
Configure the environment variable: After the installation is complete, the terminal usually prompts you to add the dtscli executable file path to the system environment variable PATH.
1. Based on the prompt that is output by the installation script, copy the corresponding export PATH=... command.
2. Append the command to your shell configuration file (usually ~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc):
```
# Example. Use the actual path provided in the installation prompt.
echo 'export PATH="$HOME/.dtscli/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc
```
3. Apply the configuration immediately:
```
source ~/.zshrc  
# If you use bash, replace zshrc with bashrc
```
Verify the installation: After you configure the environment variable, run the following command in the terminal to check whether the installation is successful:
```
dtscli version --json
```
Expected result: If the installation is successful, the terminal returns the version information and the installation path of the current dtscli in JSON format.

Windows

Run the installation command: In PowerShell, run the following command:
```
Invoke-WebRequest 'https://aliyun-dts-cli.oss-cn-hangzhou.aliyuncs.com/install.ps1' -OutFile "$env:TEMP\dtscli-install.ps1"; & "$env:TEMP\dtscli-install.ps1"
```
Note
- The first line, Invoke-WebRequest, downloads the installation script to the temporary directory of the system ($env:TEMP).
- The second line, &, immediately runs the script.
Installation process: After the script runs, the installer prints the installation plan in the terminal, including the download path and the installation directory. Carefully check the information and enter the confirmation command as prompted on the screen to continue the installation.
Configure the environment variable: After the installation is complete, the installation script usually automatically adds the dtscli executable file path to the system environment variable PATH. If the current terminal cannot find the dtscli command after the installation, close the current PowerShell window and open a new PowerShell window so that the latest environment variable takes effect.
Verify the installation: After you configure the environment variable, run the following command in the terminal to check whether the installation is successful:
```
dtscli version --json
```
Expected result: If the installation is successful, the terminal returns the version information and the installation path of the current dtscli in JSON format.

Step 2: Install Skills by using dtscli

Run the following command in a macOS or Linux terminal, or in Windows PowerShell:

dtscli skills install --agent qoder

By default, this command installs the three English Skills. To install the Chinese Skills or only a specific feature, select the package name from the following table:

dtscli skills install --agent qoder --language zh

# Install only the English DTS task management Skill
dtscli skills install --agent qoder --skill alibabacloud-dts-job-manager

# Install only the Chinese DTS task management Skill
dtscli skills install --agent qoder --language zh --skill aliyun-dts-job-manager

--skill accepts only one package name at a time. To install two specific packages, run the installation command twice.

Installation parameters

Parameter	Description	Example
`--agent <agent>`	Required. Specifies the Agent to which the Skills are installed.	`--agent qoder`
`--language en\|zh`	The language of the Skill documentation. Default value: `en`. If no package name is specified, the command installs the three packages in the specified language.	`--language zh`
`--skill <name>`	Installs only one specified package. The value must match the explicitly specified `--language`.	`--skill aliyun-dts-web-search`

--agent specifies the installation target, not an Alibaba Cloud account. If you use multiple Agents on the same machine, install the Skills separately for each Agent.

After installation

Reopen the Agent session so that it loads the newly installed Skills. You can then use the same --agent value that you used during the installation to check and update the installed DTS Skills:

dtscli skills ensure --agent qoder
