Configure monitoring and alerting
Data Transmission Service (DTS) provides monitoring and alerting for data synchronization, data migration, and change tracking instances. You can configure alert rules for key metrics in the DTS console to stay informed of instance status.
Prerequisites
You have created a DTS instance or reached the Advanced Settings step when configuring an instance. For more information, see the relevant configuration topics in Synchronization scenario overview, Migration scenarios, or Overview of change tracking scenarios.
Usage notes
-
The Full Synchronization Timeout alert is enabled by default. The default alert rule triggers an alert if a full synchronization task runs for more than 24 hours, and no alert contacts are specified.
-
To configure monitoring and alerting for DTS instances on CloudMonitor, see Configure alert rules for DTS instances on the CloudMonitor console.
Configure alerts during instance configuration
The monitoring and alerting configuration steps are similar for all DTS instance types. The following procedure uses a data synchronization instance as an example.
-
In the Advanced Settings step, set Monitoring and Alerting to Yes.
-
Under Set Alert Rule, set the time threshold for task failure or latency alerts and specify the mobile phone numbers of alert contacts.
NoteTo add multiple alert contacts, click
and enter their phone numbers. You can add up to five contacts. -
Refer to the relevant documentation for the remaining configuration steps.
Configure alerts for an existing instance
The monitoring and alerting configuration steps are similar for all DTS instance types. The following procedure uses a data synchronization instance as an example.
Go to the data synchronization task list page in the destination region. You can do this in one of two ways.
DTS console
Log on to the DTS console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Data Synchronization.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the synchronization instance is located.
DMS console
NoteThe actual steps may vary depending on the mode and layout of the DMS console. For more information, see Simple mode console and Customize DMS console layout and style.
Log on to the DMS console.
In the top menu bar, choose .
To the right of Data Synchronization Tasks, select the region of the synchronization instance.
-
In the Actions column of the target instance, choose .
NoteAlternatively, click the instance ID and then click Alert Settings in the left-side navigation pane.
-
On the Alert Settings page, configure the metrics and alert rules.
