You can manage consumer groups of a Data Subscription instance in the Data Transmission Service (DTS) console. This topic describes how to change a consumer group's password and delete the group.

Procedure

Use one of the following methods to go to the Change Tracking Tasks page and select the region in which the change tracking instance resides.
DTS console

Log on to the DTS console.

In the left-side navigation pane, click Change Tracking.

In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region in which the change tracking instance resides.
DMS console
NoteThe actual operations may vary based on the mode and layout of the DMS console. For more information, see Simple mode console and Customize the layout and style of the DMS console.

Log on to the DMS console.

In the top navigation bar, move the pointer over .

From the drop-down list to the right of Change Tracking Tasks, select the region in which the change tracking instance resides.

Click the ID of the target subscription instance.

In the left-side navigation pane, click Consume Data.

Change the password or delete the consumer group as needed.

On the Consume Data page, find the target consumer group and click Change Password in the Actions column.

In the dialog box, enter a new password in the Password and Confirm Password fields.
Note-
The password must contain characters from at least two of the following character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and digits.

The password must be 8 to 32 characters long.

Click OK.
Delete a consumer group
NoteDeleting a consumer group releases its data, which cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.

On the Consume Data page, find the target consumer group and click Delete in the Actions column.

In the OK dialog box, click OK.
