Manage environment tags
You can assign environment tags to DTS instances to quickly distinguish them. On the Tasks page, add, modify, remove, or filter instances by environment tag.
Background
Environment tags help you identify instances without affecting their operational status. For example, you can tag an instance to indicate its importance level. The tag appears in the ID/Name column on the Tasks page for quick reference.
Prerequisites
A target data synchronization instance is available on the Tasks page.
Usage notes

You can set only one environment tag for each instance.

Custom environment tags are not supported.
Procedure
The following steps use a data synchronization instance as an example.
Add environment tag
During task configuration, you can select an Environment Tag in the Advanced Settings step. To add an environment tag to an existing instance on the Tasks page, follow these steps:
Go to the data synchronization task list page in the destination region. You can do this in one of two ways.
DTS console
Log on to the DTS console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Data Synchronization.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the synchronization instance is located.
DMS console
NoteThe actual steps may vary depending on the mode and layout of the DMS console. For more information, see Simple mode console and Customize DMS console layout and style.
Log on to the DMS console.
In the top menu bar, choose .
To the right of Data Synchronization Tasks, select the region of the synchronization instance.

In the Actions column of the target instance, select .

In the Set Environment Tag dialog box, select a tag from the Environment Tag drop-down list.
NoteThe available options are Regular and Production Environment. Interpret these tags based on your business requirements.

Click OK.
Modify environment tag

Go to the Data Synchronization Tasks page and find the target instance.

In the Actions column of the target instance, select .

In the Set Environment Tag dialog box, select a new tag from the Environment Tag drop-down list.
NoteTo remove the environment tag, select None..

Click OK.
Filter by environment tag

Go to the Data Synchronization Tasks page.
To the right of Data Synchronization Tasks, select the region of the synchronization instance.

From the Environment Tag drop-down list, select the tag that you want to use for filtering.
NoteTo clear the filter, click the
icon.

How do I remove an environment tag?

When you configure a task: You cannot delete an Environment Tag that you have selected. You can click Save and Return and then delete the environment tag on the Tasks page.

icon that appears. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
