Advanced Database & Application Migration (ADAM) provides the following processes: database evaluation, database transformation and migration, and application evaluation and transformation.
Overview
Database evaluation: Evaluates the source database to understand its current state. Based on the results, ADAM provides recommendations for a destination database and assesses migration feasibility.
Database transformation and migration: This process performs schema migration, schema revision, and incremental schema migration. It also integrates with data migration services.
1. Evaluate databases
After you perform the preceding operations, ADAM provides migration suggestions based on the evaluation result. ADAM provides the required specifications of a destination database, compatibility between the source and destination databases, and transformation cost.
