You can manually release a Data Transmission Service (DTS) dedicated cluster. After a DTS dedicated cluster is released, it cannot be recovered. DTS tasks that run in the cluster, such as data migration, data synchronization, and change tracking tasks, are also deleted. We recommend that you perform this operation with caution. This topic describes how to release a DTS dedicated cluster.
Procedure

Go to the DTSDTS Dedicated Clusters page.

To the right of Workbench, select the region where you want to create the dedicated cluster.
NoteIf you are logged in to the Data Management (DMS) console, select the region for the dedicated cluster to the right of Cluster Task.

Take note of the instance ID of the target dedicated cluster.

In the Cluster Task list, choose one of the following methods to release the cluster.

In the Operation column for the target dedicated cluster, select .

Click the name or instance ID of the target dedicated cluster (or click Detail in the Operation column), and then click Release Cluster.
WarningA released dedicated cluster cannot be recovered. This action also deletes all tasks running on the cluster, such as data migration, data synchronization, and change tracking. Perform this operation with caution.

In the Risks of Releasing Cluster dialog box, review the risks and click OK.

On the Unsubscribe Management page, release the dedicated cluster.

In the Instance ID field, enter the instance ID of the dedicated cluster.

Click Search.

In the Operation column for the target dedicated cluster, click Unsubscribe Resource.

Follow the on-screen instructions to release the dedicated cluster.
