You can manually release a pay-as-you-go instance or unsubscribe from a subscription instance.
Usage notes
After an instance is released, you cannot recover its data.
This topic describes the procedure in the classic console. If you are using the new console, see Release a DTS instance.
Release a pay-as-you-go instance

Log in to the DTS console.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Data Migration, Data Synchronization, or Change Tracking, depending on your instance type.

In the top navigation bar, select the region of your instance.

Select the target instance and release it.
NoteFor a Data Synchronization or Change Tracking instance, you can also release the instance by clicking Operation in the More column and then selecting the related option.

In the Release instance dialog box, click OK.
Unsubscribe from a subscription instance

Log in to the Alibaba Cloud console.

Click Billing at the top of the page.

In the navigation pane on the left, choose .

Optional: On the Unsubscribe page, click the Standard Cloud Resources tab.

Filter for DTS instances.

Set Type to Partial Refund.
NoteDTS does not support a five-day unconditional refund.

For Product Name, select or enter Data Transmission (Subscription).

Click Search.
-

Find the target instance and click Unsubscribe in the Actions column.

Specify the Reason for Unsubscription, review the refund rules, confirm the refund amount, and back up and migrate the instance data.

Select the confirmation checkbox and click Unsubscribe Now.
What to do next
After a DTS task is complete or a DTS instance is released, we recommend that you manually remove the CIDR blocks of DTS servers from the security settings of the source and destination database instances. This way, DTS can no longer access the source and destination databases. For more information, see the CIDR blocks of DTS servers section of the Add the CIDR blocks of DTS servers topic.

Remove the whitelist group whose name contains
dtsfrom the IP address whitelist of your Alibaba Cloud database instance. -
In the security rules of your ECS instance, remove the security group whose name contains
dts. You must remove the CIDR blocks of DTS servers from the security settings of self-managed databases or databases hosted on third-party cloud platforms.
