You can manually release a pay-as-you-go or unsubscribe from a subscription DTS instance after its tasks are complete and you no longer need the instance configurations. Releasing unused instances avoids extra costs.
Usage notes

After a DTS instance is released, all data is deleted and cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.

Subscription instances do not support full refunds.

A synchronization or migration instance with a verification task appears in both its task list (Data Synchronization Tasks or Data Migration Tasks) and the Verification Task list. Exercise caution when performing operations.

DTS instances purchased during promotional events cannot be released.
Release one or multiple pay-as-you-go instances
- Log on to the DTS console.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Data Migration, Data Synchronization, Data Verification, or Change Tracking, based on the instance type.

In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your instances reside.

Release one or multiple DTS instances.

Release a single DTS instance
In the Actions column of the instance that you want to release, choose .

Release multiple DTS instances at a time
Select multiple instances that you want to release and click Delete Task in the lower part of the page.

In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Unsubscribe from subscription instances

Go to the Subscription Management page.

Log on to the new DTS console.

At the top of the page, click Billing.

In the navigation pane on the left, choose .

Optional: On the Unsubscribe page, go to the Standard Cloud Resources tab.

Find the DTS instance.

Set Type to Non-full Refund.
NoteDTS does not support five-day unconditional refunds.

For Product Name, select or enter Data Transmission Service (Subscription).

Click Search.
-

Unsubscribe from the DTS instance.

Find the instance that you want to unsubscribe from.

To unsubscribe from a single instance
In the Operation column of the target instance, click Unsubscribe.

To unsubscribe from multiple instances
Select the target instances and click Batch Unsubscribe at the bottom of the page.

Select and enter a Reason for Unsubscription.

Read the Refund Rules, and then select the I have read the Unsubscription Rules and confirm the refund amount and I confirm that the instance data has been backed up and migrated checkboxes.

Click Unsubscribe Now.

What to do next
After a DTS task is complete or a DTS instance is released, we recommend that you remove the CIDR blocks of DTS servers from the security settings of the source and destination database instances to prevent continued DTS access. Remove the IP whitelist group whose name contains
dtsfrom the IP address whitelist of each Alibaba Cloud database instance. -
Remove the security group whose name contains
DTSfrom the security rules of your ECS instance. -
You must remove the CIDR blocks of DTS servers from the security settings of self-managed databases or databases hosted on third-party cloud platforms.
