Release a DTS instance-Data Transmission Service(DTS)-阿里云帮助中心

Manually release a pay-as-you-go or unsubscribe from a subscription DTS instance after its tasks are complete and the instance configurations are no longer needed to avoid extra costs.

Usage notes

Released DTS instances and their data cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.
Subscription instances do not support full refunds.
A synchronization or migration instance with a verification task appears in both its task list (Data Synchronization Tasks or Data Migration Tasks) and the Verification Task list. Exercise caution when performing operations.
DTS instances purchased during promotional events cannot be released.

Release one or multiple pay-as-you-go instances

Log on to the DTS console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Data Migration, Data Synchronization, Data Verification, or Change Tracking, based on the instance type.
In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your instances reside.
Release one or multiple DTS instances.
- Release a single DTS instance
  
  In the Actions column of the target instance, choose > Delete Task.
- Release multiple DTS instances at a time
  
  Select the target instances and click Delete Task at the bottom of the page.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.

Unsubscribe from subscription instances

Go to the Subscription Management page.
1. Log on to the new DTS console.
2. At the top of the page, click Billing.
3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Orders > Unsubscribe.
Optional: On the Unsubscribe page, go to the Standard Cloud Resources tab.
Find the DTS instance.
1. Set Type to Non-full Refund.
  
  Note
  DTS does not support five-day unconditional refunds.
2. For Product Name, select or enter Data Transmission Service (Subscription).
3. Click Search.
Unsubscribe from the DTS instance.
1. Find the instance that you want to unsubscribe from.
  - To unsubscribe from a single instance
    
    In the Operation column of the target instance, click Unsubscribe.
  - To unsubscribe from multiple instances
    
    Select the target instances and click Batch Unsubscribe at the bottom of the page.
2. Select and enter a Reason for Unsubscription.
3. Read the Refund Rules, and then select the I have read the Unsubscription Rules and confirm the refund amount and I confirm that the instance data has been backed up and migrated checkboxes.
4. Click Unsubscribe Now.

What to do next

After a DTS task is complete or a DTS instance is released, remove the CIDR blocks of DTS servers from the security settings of the source and destination databases to prevent continued DTS access. Remove the IP whitelist group whose name contains dts from the IP address whitelist of each Alibaba Cloud database.
Remove the security group whose name contains DTS from the security rules of your ECS instance.
Remove the CIDR blocks of DTS servers from the security settings of self-managed databases or databases hosted on third-party cloud platforms.
